Overview

An Ecommerce website (online shop) for a large corporation based in Hong Kong (HK), selling mobile phones. The Online Shop sells one2free mobile phones and devices, plans and Mobile broadband services to the Hong Kong market.

The entire site is based on an off-the-shelf product, Elastic Path v6.2.2 (EP), which provides a comprehensive Frontend and Backend for the ecommerce site. The site has adaptable, customized layouts which are extensively integrated with the existing frontend code. Animation and other visual effects were developed with AJAX and integrated with EP.

For Backend functions, EP provides an independent application interface for site masters and administrators to perform maintenance work. The application’s Ecommerce Manager (EM), is deployed to a dedicated workstation within the client’s secured environment.

Challenge

Even though Elastic Path is one of the largest, enterprise commerce solution, the team learned the Elastic Path system within a few weeks and was coding with top-quality very quickly.
