Overview
WHOOZNXT is a unique digital platform that leverages social media to enable trending bands to win real-world exposure through gigs as a reward for their online fan growth. To win each monthly contest, bands have to gain fans across their registered social networks including Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Soundcloud, Youtube, Last.fm and Vimeo. Bands with the highest number of fans gained within each calendar month are reviewed by WHOOZNXT partner venues like Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Vans Warped Tour, and many others who then hand-pick the winners.
Challenge
As a digital platform, the challenge was to connect seamlessly with all the relevant social networks of bands in order to review their fan acquisition. As part of this system, a robust anti-spoofing system is built to detect any bands with suspicious fan acquisition activity.
